My first quadcopter flights!

Submitted by fabio on Sun, 2011-08-28 12:04.

As you probably know, I've spent some of my few free time to build a quadcopter.. I bought some components, I had a frame as gift from a friend, mounted everything and finally I went to fly it.

This video documents my very fist flights with it.. this is really nothing easy! And I'm still learning so don't laugh at me! But, as you can see from the last part of the video, my thumbs are getting more and more experienced ;-)

You have been very encouraging. I like that you've thought, designed, planned and built the technology. Many of your old and new friends have tested and shown your products to be quite good. Now, you are working to be the end user. I smile with excitement and encouragement for your continued learning, explorations, sharing and successes.

Don't forget the body needs food and rest. Stay clean and keep doing good things.

Thanks for the fun!

Very impressing!
I would be very interested if you could tell us how you tuned your PID? (test bench/order/...)
I'm struggling to find the correct values for my quadri, so any tips would be very much appreciated.
Thank you, and good luck for the rest!

Hye

Whaou it's flighing very well!!! I'm intending too to make one of my own fly but i'm stuck in pid tunning. I have no idea of what I have to do when my quadri does exactly like yours at the begining of the video.
Could you explain me how you proceed to tune it please.

Thank you very much for your time
