Straylight Run "The Needles The Space" - My personal review
Straylight Run "The Needles The Space" - Album Cover
I just bought the last album from Straylight Run called "The Needles The Space".
I'm a long time Straylight Run fan. Songs from old CDs like "Existentialism On Prom Night", "Another Word for Desperate" and "The Perfect Ending" always make me feel strange.. These songs really can make you touched, super emotional music.
So.. as soon as I saw the new CD available I ordered from amazon.com (which was able to ship to my home here in Canary Islands).
Well.. I have to say that the first two days with this new album were pretty strange. The sound of Straylight Run really changed between their firsts albums. I was a bit disappointed by the change.
What happened to them? This albums is completely different! I don't like it! I was thinking.
Well.. seems that to judge this album you have to carefully listen to it.. you have to listen it some time before understanding how much is good and cool.
The band is experiencing new sound and melodies which needs some time to get understood by the listener. Also new instruments, even computer generated sounds, are used on this new album.
And.. as soon as you get used to this new sound you start to get crazy with these songs. You start understanding how good are the melodies and the whole sound of this new album.
I really like this masterpiece from Straylight Run. I really suggest it to every Indie/Alternative/Emo listener.. but always remember to listen to it some time before judge it.
These are the songs in the album:
- "The Words We Say" - 3:24
- "The Miracle That Never Came" - 2:33
- "Soon We'll Be Living in the Future" - 2:54
- "How Do I Fix My Head" - 4:49
- "Who Will Save Us Now" - 3:50
