It's time for a new version of the Firefox 2 theme for Firefox 3.x.

Version 0.9.8 has been just released and includes the following fixes:

• CSS rules and 2 icons for Clear Recent History (Tools). Thanks user 0 for reporting this issue
• Adds icon on mouseover to item of forward-back overlay menu
• Updating version tag to 0.9.8pre. This starts development for version 0.9.8.
• Restoring RSS Icon on address bar
• Fixing double input border on Bookmarks fields
• Changing attribute empty to isempty in FF 3.6. This makes search engine field return to gray again when not used. Thanks to user perisphetic from ...
• removing unnedded paddding
• Releasing 0.9.8

After some work and with the upcoming release of Firefox 3.6, it's time for a new version of the Firefox 2 theme for Firefox 3.x.

New version 0.9.7 adds the following features:

I'm happy to announce the availability of version 0.9.6 beta 1 of my Firefox 2 theme for Firefox 3.x.

This is a beta version aimed to receive feedback from users. You are very welcome in testing the theme and report any issue, question or advice. You can post here as comment your opinions.

Version 0.9.6 beta 1 contains the following improvements:

• Added css rules and some icons to style the Certification Error Page shown when a website uses an untrusted certificate using https. To see an example visit https://drupal.org
• Added support for on tabs newtab button
• Fixed sidebar issues on Mac OS X
• Added styling for Session Restore and Private Browsing internal pages
• Fixing not underlined links in the privacy pane of the preferences window. Thanks to user.
• Complete rewrite of Menus styles. This should fixes various issues with menus on various platforms.

I just pushed to addons.mozilla.org version 0.9.5 of the Firefox 2 theme for Firefox 3.x.

After some days of tests by me and some friend who helped out I just submitted version 0.9.4 of the Firefox 2 theme for Firefox 3.x.

The version is waiting review by the editors at addons.mozilla.org so it's still not public. It should became available in some days. Once it became public it will be pushed to current users through firefox Addons automatic update.

The default Firefox 3/3.5 theme for Linux is, in my modest opinion, really ugly.

As soon as they rolled it out for Firefox 3 I reverted to the old Firefox 2 theme using an add on theme called Firefox 2 theme for Firefox. I used it for some months and I was really satisfied with it.

Unfortunately the theme seems abandoned, given the message displayed on its project page.

If you are a web developer, sooner or later, you will have to play (or fight) with HTTP Headers handling.

HTTP Headers, even if hidden in the server-browsers interactions, are a fundamental element of the web.

Also a strong usage of HTTP Headers is done in SEO - Serach engine optimization, where they are used to keep Search Engines Caches updated.

Some time ago I created a api.drupal.org firefox search plugin for Drupal 5.x and submitted it to the Mycroft Project for indexing.

Well, I've been requested to do the same for Drupal 6 Apis.

So.. I did it. There is now a Drupal 6 Apis search plugin available at Mycroft.

You can get it from the list of search plugins I created.

The Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer is a cool Firefox extension I recently discovered.

By uploading your bookmarks to your FTP server or using Foxmarks.com it let your bookmarks to be synchronized between all your different Firefox installs you have on multiple computers.

UPDATE: The following guide, originally written for Firefox 2, has been used successfully on Firefox 3, 3.5, 3.6, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Users of Firefox Portable edition (same versions) also have been successful using this guide.

The Windows computers available at my University permits login only by autenticated users (students) who don't have Administrator access and permissions.

Installing software on those PC is then not possible.
